Laura Geller Iconic Baked Sculpting Lipsticks

IMG_20150916_083055

Laura Geller Beauty was kind enough to send me a cute box of some of their new Iconic Baked Sculpting Lipsticks to review. I love how moisturizing they are! The texture on the actual lippies give it a luxurious feel, and the colors are pigmented!

Description: Tempt your senses with our first-ever baked and sculpted lipstick. The artisan-baked pigments and rich moisturizers, saturate lips with creamy, vibrant colors that feels weightless. A curved bullet shape allows for a single-swipe application providing long-lasting, high-impact wear.

Process: This breakthrough formula starts as loose pigments that are baked with a complex of oils for 12 hours to create round, smooth color pigments. After baking, the pigments are mixed with moisturizing ingredients to create creamy color perfection.

Ingredients contains: Almond Oil, Apricot Butter & Sunflower oil

The cap is magnetic, which I thought was pretty cool, but a con is that it’s not a strong magnet, the slightest pick up just takes off the cap and the lipstick can fall, so just be careful and grab from the bottom. But the look of the packaging is very sleek and it’s a matte black with the Laura Geller Brand on it. The lipsticks stayed on me for about 4-5 hours.

The colors I received are:

Tribeca Tan, Bleeker St, Peach, Madison Ave. Pink, Mulberry St. Fift Ave. Ruby, and Broadway Plum

Other shades in the line (not pictured here):

Greenwich Street Berry, East Side Rouge, Soho Nude, Central Park Spice, Lexington Ave. Coral, Big Apple Red

These retail for $21 are available on Ulta.com, Ulta stores, and LauraGeller, com!

Review: Projectwrap – It Works! Body Wraps

IMG_20140906_164522

*This is a sponsored post by It Works Body Wraps. All thoughts and opinions are solely mine, and this review is my complete honest opinion on my own personal experience with the product.

I am finally getting around to posting my review on my experience with the Project It Body Wrap that Jerilee sent me to try. Let me start off by explaining these wraps. These body contouring applicators as they are called, offer a natural solution to tighten, tone, and firm the desired area; helping reduce the appearance of cellulite and skin slackening. With the continued use of more wraps, diet and exercise, you can see results that are reflective of weight loss (inches lost), or body contouring. They are non-woven, cloth wraps that are infused with a natural, powerful, botanically based formula (full list of ingredients are printed in the brochure and wrap packaging).

You can use these body wraps anywhere, anytime. Some areas for suggested use: chin & neck, tummy, upper legs, sides, back, and arms. The wrap itself once applied, feels like a tingling, cool sensation (similar to an icy hot but without the warmth) which lets you know that it is working.

How often can you use these wraps? Applicators can be applied once every 72 hours. The ingredients continue to work for 72 hours after application, so you may see progressive results over this time period. Each applicator is only to be used once.

How long should you wear the wrap? Each wrap should be worn for at least 45 minutes. Because it’s a naturally based product, it is relatively safe to wear longer than 45 minutes if desired. If it’s your first time using the body wrap, they suggest that you only leave it for the recommended 45 minutes to test your skin’s sensitivity to the wrap’s ingredients. You also need to drink LOTS OF WATER! Half of your body weight in ounces.

My experience: I unfortunately had a severe allergic reaction using the wrap, in all fairness my skin in general is very sensitive and reacts to lots of things which should not be indicative of how the wrap performs for everyone. I checked on the wrap and my skin after the suggested 45 minutes however didn’t notice or feel anything that was off-putting, however I had a delayed reaction and hours later my entire stomach was bright red and itchy and the redness was the outline of where the wrap was.

Because of my allergic reaction, I had to wait about a week before I could take any after pictures and unfortunately didn’t take any pics right after the wrap was removed. In the pictures below, I wore the same clothes to deter any skewed results or illusions of the wrap. What I IMMEDIATELY noticed upon removal of the wrap however, was that my skin looked smoother and firmer, however I did not notice any significant “weight loss” but then again I only was sent one wrap to try, and many women see noticeable results after using 4 or more wraps. My inches around my waist was 29.5″ before and after. I think the after pic looks a bit slimmer and firmer because I also lot the water weight.

CONCLUSION: With ANY body contouring system, wrap, pills, diet regimens, etc. please proceed with caution. Despite my allergic reaction to this product, I still suggest you give body wraps/contouring a try as my personal experience was just my own and products work differently for everyone.

I currently do not have any pricing info as these are independently sold and distributed by a rep, if you would like more info or would like to purchase one, please contact Jerilee Melo at http://projectwrap.myitworks.com and follow her on IG and Facebook: @ProjectWrap.

Review: Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes Mascara

PicsArt_1409165244438

I had the amazing opportunity to test out the Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes Mascara by Younique (http://www.lashesbykristen.com) ($29). And pictured above are the amazing results!

20140826_064624

Total grade: A+

My thoughts: I have stick straight lashes, they never curl right and no matter what I do I can never get it to look decent. Even the most expensive mascaras and heated eyelash curlers never seem to do the trick. The moment I tried this I was in love! I could totally tell a difference and it made my boring lashes look fuller and longer.

Even after I curled it with an eye curler it really made my eyes pop! $29 is sorta steep for any mascara, however I have bought mascaras from Sephora that were $22 and up and never even came close to how well this one worked, so to me it was worth it! I also loved that the fibers itself were black instead of the white fibers you see in other mascaras, this eliminated me having to try the cover up the white with mascara and really made it look natural. The packaging is also amazing, both the fibers and the transplanting gel come in a cute quilted hard case.

What they say: Our simple three-step process combines Transplanting Gel and Natural Fibers to help create the appearance of incredible thickness and volume to your existing lashes. Watch as your lashes transform into something you have only dreamed of! The 3D Fiber Lashes are water resistant but easily washes off with warm water and facial cleanser at the end of the day. Try it! It will quickly become your favorite makeup must-have!

How to use it?

  • Step 3: Reapply the Transplanting Gel a second time to secure the natural fibers onto your lashes.
  • The directions say you can also add the fibers as many times as you want, just make sure that you use the transplanting gel each time.
