.::EDIT::. The MAC Stores near me (Glendale Mall and Topanga) have taken my depotted MAC eyeshadows even without the pan, I have heard last year that they were no longer taking those, but it never hurts to try as I have never had an issue with it. Also, you CAN use back 2 mac for LE (limited edition) items. :)

Happy Friday Gorgeous Readers! Hope you guys have fun plans for the weekend! I am just going to spend the weekend with some friends and relax for once! And definitely sleep in!

Anyway, I had 12 empty MAC containers for back 2 mac so I traded them in for “Money, Honey” Dazzleglass and the “Angel” lipstick. For those of you who don’t know about back 2 mac, it’s MAC’s recycling program in which you can trade in 6 empty containers (NOT the packaging!)for ONE brand new MAC eye shadow (not the refills), a lipglass/dazzleglass, or an eyeshadow. This applies for freestanding MAC stores only, not department store MAC counters. At Nordstroms, Macy’s, Bloomingdales, etc. you can only trade it in for a lipstick. (At least last time I checked…)

I personally like to accumulate my empties and then trade ’em in, rather than 6 at a time (unless I am impatient and need it right then and there which I often am! LOL)

“Angel” lipstick is the perfect nude pink, where it’s not TOO pink, and not TOO nude- but just right. Reminds me of the “California Dreamin'” free lipstick MAC gave out to California residents last year. “Money, Honey” has tons of shimmer I love it! Makes your lips look like bling! HAHA.

Someone asked about the glamourdolleyes sample jars and how much product is in it, etc. It is definitely a generous amount of product for a sample, probably enough for 10+ uses! I supplied a pic at the bottom of this post so you can see for yourself how much product is in just a sample size!

By itself, no lipstick or primer underneath:

Double Dizzle Dazzle!

MAC released their Double Dazzle collection today, it was supposed to be April 30th but they bumped it up luckily! Unfortunately it’s not on their website yet, but has ’em! They all look yummy! I love the Dazzleglasses ($18, each), when they first came out I nabbed “Baby Sparks” and “Funtabulous” and I am BEYOND HAPPY that all but 3 are permanent. (goldyrocks, utterly posh, and stop! look! are ALL LIMITED EDITION).

I didn’t get to swatch all of them at the store, nor on my lips because the BF was being a bugaboo! LOL. So below are swatches of the ones I ended up getting, for those of you who never had a chance to try a Dazzleglass, they ARE sticky lipglosses, so be WARNED! Yes they are the lipglosses that your hair will stick to on a windy day making you look like Cousin It of the Addams family. And I know many of you ladies who hate super sticky lipglosses, but the one thing I love about ’em is that they last because they are stickier than MAC’s lipglasses. They stay on like no other! I wore “Funtabulous” at my sister’s party, and I didn’t even have to re-apply a coat. I also like how they have super fine glitter so that it’s wearable alone or even over lipsticks without making you look like you ate some greasy chicken! LOL. The only thing I noticed is that right out of the box, the brush for each gloss was really stiff which is normal since it’s new, so just bend it to flex it a bit so it has movement for easy application on the lips.

It’s so hard to even pick a favorite because they all are gorgeous over lipsticks and really bring your lips to life! I must say though I love “Funtabulous”, “Rags to Riches”, “Smile”, “Moth to Flame”, and “Steppin’ Out” they are even just pretty alone. “Goldyrocks” didn’t wow me as much as I thought it would, it does have nice gold flecks, but the overall gloss was a bit too sheer for me which is great for those of you who don’t want so much color in their gloss. To be honest, there are a few colors that start to look the same the more and more you look at it such as “Like Venus” and “Extra Amps”, I had to keep swatching them over and over again to make sure I wasn’t mixing up the two!

Nonetheless, I am glad that a majority of these are permanent so there is no need to rush and get them for the fear of them disappearing again, however I highly suggest to at least get ONE and you’ll fall in love with it because they just make lips look luscious!

MAC Holiday Collection- Passions of Red & Little Darlings

I know, I am SO behind on everything, including the latest MAC holiday collections! I made a goal to catch up this weekend on all your questions/emails/comments, as well as all the product reviews you ladies are waiting for. I have TONS of stuff to review it’s insane. My vanity and bathroom look like a tornado hit it with all the products just sprawled across his sink and mine, the BF is probably getting annoyed since my stuff is all over the place haha.

Anyway, I bought a few things from this year’s holiday collection (last week) of course I had to get my hands on the little darlings collection! I love lippies, so the thought of having the pink and neutral lip/lustreglass set made me giddy! For $29.50 each set, that’s a steal considering that one lipglass or lustreglass is around $14.50-$15 EACH. And you get 5 good-sized tubes in the holiday set, and they are all really pretty colors. Last year I passed on the lippie sets and instead got the eyeshadow palettes and the cool pigment set, but this year I went the complete opposite where I bought all lippies, and no pigments. (Sorry I forgot to take a pic of the Coral lip set!)

I also bought the Smokey Eyes Palette, I really wasn’t going to get ANY of the eyeshadow palettes from Passions of Red simply because most of the colors are dupable with some of MAC’s permanent colors OR they were just bleh to me considering I still have BARELY touched LAST YEAR’S holiday palettes. Even though I have last year’s smokey eye palette, I wanted to get this year’s because last year’s was more on the smokey brown side, rather than the grey’s and blacks and I thought it would just be a nice palette to have. (Also in case any of you are interested, I am selling LAST YEAR’S smokey eye palette from the Antiquitease collection since I have only used it twice and probably will never use it again, $30 with shipping, US Residents only, original price was $36, email me).

I also included a picture of the WARM eyes palette that my friend got, she let me play with it to get these pics, LOL.

No base, just lipgloss…
Swatches from the PINK set (my favorite is “Song & Dance” and some of the swatches are crappy since I was in a hurry!):

Swatches from the NEUTRAL set (my favorite is “love nectar”):

Using the smokey eyes palette (inner lid used a bit of “Vex” which is NOT in the palette, but it’s a permanent e/s):

Product Review: NYX Round Lipglosses

Product: 4 out of 5
Packaging: 5 out of 5
Quality: 3 out of 5
Smell/Taste: 2.5 out of 5
Overall: 4 out of 5
Price: $2.00 on

What they say: NYX Girls new lip gloss. 36 pretty shades to highlight that sexy pucker of yours. Feels silky smooth, long-lasting, and the color in the bottle is the color on.

Ingredients: Microcrystalline Wax, Polyisobutene, Vitamin E, Silane, Minteral Oil, 2-ethylhexyl Palmitate, Gelled Hydrocarbons, Propylparaben, Methylparaben, Fragrance. MAY CONTAIN: Mica, Titanium Dioxide/Ci77891, D$c Red No.6 Ba Lake/Ci15850:2, D&cRed No.27 Al Lake/Ci45410:2, Iron Oxide Red/Ci77491, Iron Oxide Black/Ci77499, D&c Red 7 Ca. Lake/Ci15850:1, Iron Oxide Yellow/Ci77492, Fd&c Blue No.1 Al Lake/Ci42090:2

What I love about it: It’s sheer and pigmented at the same time where you get the perfect amount of color and the color you see thru the tube is the color you get. (Can’t say the same for online swatches! LOL). You can definitely re-apply to get your desired intensity. I love how it’s super soft and glides on a lot easier than the NYX mega-shine lipglosses (my taupe one would act like it was dry when I knew there was plenty of product in there, and it took forever to get an even amount of color on your lips). The kicker is how cheap these babies are! Only $2 on and has an angled doe-foot sponge tip so it makes it super easy to apply. They are also nice and shiny! I also love how the packaging is smaller and round comparing to the square-chunky looking mega-rich lipglosses. Another bonus is that they come in 36 mouth-watering shades, variety is the key!

What I hate about it:
It smells and tastes like dishwashing soap. Like a lemon-citrusy sort of a smell and taste and it immediately reminded me of Lysol. That’s the only thing that bothers me just because I always think that it’s NOT supposed to go on my lips when I put it on, LOL. The smell goes away after awhile (for me anyway), so it’s not so bad…I also wish that they had more staying power, yet not as sticky as the MAC lipglasses, but somewhere in the middle where it actually can “hold” onto your lips. (It would be neat if NYX came out with their own version of MAC’s Pro Long Lustre Wear!) Because these are so soft and creamy, they don’t stay on very long but they are a great addition to add with your favorite lipstick.

Favorite colors so far: Doll Pink, Whipped, and Café Latte.

You would like this if: You are on a budget and looking for something that’s very affordable and has great pigmentation and color variety- more bang for your buck! Or if you are already an NYX addict and heck it’s something new to add to your ever-growing collection!

You may hate this if: You are looking for a lippie that’s long wear or want something a bit more stickier.

Overall: I love them! I plan on buying a few more….

I also picked up a couple more of the NYX Round Lipsticks for $1 at the Chloe accessory store in the Puente Hills Mall by the BF’s mom’s house…they had a bunch of NYX stuff in that store and even Splash Cosmetics too!

More Pro LongWear…another haul!

I loved the pro long wears so much that I bought 2 more from the permanent line: “Fully Charged” (a soft baby pink), and “Jazz-y-Jazz” (a mauve/taupe color). I love them! I also got “Nymphette” lipglass and MAC Blush refill in “Springsheen”.
