Too Faced Love Flush Blush Palette (Swatches!)

Too Faced always has my heart (no pun intended!), their packaging is always so cute and girly, and makes me feel like it’s Valentine’s Day everyday LOL! Their newest Love Flush Blush palette  ($36, available on is no exception! It’s simply gorgeous and I love that it it’s basically all their Love Flush blushes in a limited edition palette, which is great for people like myself who never bought any of those blushes, so it’s a perfect way to try all the colors.

They are finely milled, pigmented, and go on smooth! Some of the shades have a nice shimmer to them. Definitely recommend snatching this palette up while you can!

Tarte Holiday Blush Palette

Went to my local Sephora to check out all the new holiday goodies that are already out, and a few of my instagram buddies were already posting about this gorgeous blush palette by Tarte cosmetics and had to see it for myself. I was definitely NOT disappointed!

This palette retails for $42, it is limited edition and is available in Sephora stores and

It’s a nice sleek palette, and has all the sparkly bling that screams that the holidays are around the corner. The “Off the Cuff” palette also comes with a super cute cuff bracelet adorned with a gold bow (and I love bows!); the bracelet has two snap on buttons, which can be a con as it may not fit everyone. But very stylish nonetheless!

There are 4 blushes and 1 matte bronzer, the blushes are: Crave, Dazzled, Darling, and Dollface, and the matte bronzer is called Park Avenue Princess.

Final thoughts: This is the perfect gift for yourself or for any beauty or blush enthusiast for the holidays. I love that it has a variety of colors to complement many skintones rather than showcasing one color family. It’s great for traveling because it’s sleek and small enough to fit anywhere without taking up a lot of room. The matte bronzer is great for contouring and is a nice addition to the palette. I love the permanent Tarte blushes so it’s a no brainer these have the same amazing quality that Tarte continues to deliver.

Napoleon Perdis Bronze Patrol & Blush Patrol

Happy Friday Friends! Hope your weekend is off to a great start! I recently had the opportunity to try the Bronze Patrol ($50) & Blush Patrol ($59) from Napoleon Perdis (, which by the way, if you buy either the Bronze Patrol or Blush Patrol at that price you get a FREE Patrol Blush, so you get two! Which is probably a lil cheaper than two MAC MSF’s combined (and in case you are wondering I compared the two, and the MAC MSF and the NP Patrols are roughly the same size, see video).

The Brush Patrol & Blush Patrol are described as “sophisticated baked powders” that will make you look like you got a nice glowy tan from the islands. I definitely agree with “sophisticated”, the gold colored pan and the clear lid make it look so luxurious and refined. They both are enriched with Vitamin A and C, so for those of you with dry skin- like me- don’t need to worry! They are also dome shaped.

Since summer is around the corner and I am pretty pale, I tend to love bronzers (not the way Snooki loves bronzer), but I like that they bring warmth and subtle color to my face so I don’t end up looking pasty. I am loving the Napoleon Perdis Bronze Patrol, it creates a nice dewy, sunkissed look without looking like an oompa loompa and I personally think it’s flattering on all skin tones. It has shimmering gold flecks that leave a nice soft, yet subtle glow on your cheeks. The veining on both of these are just so pretty, you don’t even wanna touch it! You can also use it wet or dry and it’s paraben free.

You can even use this as a pretty eyeshadow color to give you a nice “beach bronze” look, because it’s such a pretty color. I even compared swatches with MAC MSF in “Comfort” (LE) and MAC MSF in “Petticoat” and you can see that the texture and pigmentation is pretty much the same, and the colors are similar. Since the MAC MSF’s were Limited Edition, I highly recommend checking out these Napoleon Perdis Baked Powders in case you missed the MSF boat. And there’s PLENTY of product to last you a lifetime; especially since you don’t need a lot to begin with because these are so pigmented.

The Blush Patrol blush, is super pretty; I can’t even describe how pretty it is in person. It’s like a hybrid of a soft rose pink and a tinge of a shimmery coral. It gives a nice natural flush to the cheeks and looks great in the pan because it has swirls of shimmery color. It’s also long lasting and streak free since these powders are baked but silky soft.
New Formula – Improved finish and blendability
Vitamin A & C – Antioxidants improve the appearance of skin tone
Lauroyl Lysine – Leaves a smooth, silky texture on the skin
Wet & Dry Application – For soft blush (dry) and contoured definition (wet)
Paraben Free – Ideal for those who are sensitive to parabens.
Final thought: This is the first product ever, that I have tried from Napoleon Perdis, and I genuinely loved these baked powders, they give such a nice glow to my face, I hope to do a FOTD soon (but you can see it in the video how it looks on the face); but because I had such a great experience with them, it makes me wanna check out their other products. Even though some of their stuff is more high-end, I like that they include free gifts to make it worth while. Bottom line, these are great quality and I highly recommend you check them out especially if you are a MAC MSF loving person who missed out on the LE MSF’s because unlike the MAC MSF’s these are permanent, and they are just as pigmented and similar in color.

Tarte Blushes in “Tipsy” & “Blissful”

Hello ladies! Don’t these Tarte Amazonian Clay blushes ($25 each) sorta look like twins? Well I went to exchange something at Sephora last week (the same day I saw Vanessa Hudgens and her sis in the store trying on makeup!) and they sold out of “Tipsy”, they only had “Blissful”, so I ended up getting “Blissful”, and then this past weekend I went to the Container Store in Century City and the Sephora there, had “Tipsy”! So I ended up buying that one too since I didn’t have “Blissful” on me to exchange, and then I thought i’d compare them since they look almost identical to me. They come in handy mirrored compacts, which match the color of the blush inside so it definitely makes it easier to know which is which if you have more than one.

Blissful is more of a pale peachy pink that is more of a sheertone texture, where it’s not dull like a matte blush, but not as shimmery as “Tipsy”. It’s pretty perfect for those of you that want a natural look and have light complexions (as I think it would show up more on lighter skintones to look the most natural). Tipsy is a gorgeous coral shade, it’s shimmery and very pigmented and will definitely work well with any skintone and complexion because it will really shine through.

Description from Sephora website: For oily skin types, Amazonian clay minimizes oil in and around pores to balance skin and keep product in place. Those with dry skin will benefit from the clay’s nourishing and hydrating properties, which naturally restore skin’s moisture. Combination skin types can rely on its ability to zero in on skin concerns and deliver benefits to restore complexion harmony.

These claim to have incredible 12-hour wear, and it comes in other shades as well. So far the wear is pretty good, I will have to do an update to really know for sure, but so far so good!

Which one is my favorite? It’s honestly hard to pick one because at times they almost look the same on my cheeks, I like that Blissful is more subtle, and just gives a nice wash of color, while Tipsy is nice and shimmery perfect for the summer, not to mention it seems like a very unique color. I compared these blushes to my MAC “Hipness” blush below. As you can see “Hipness” closely resembles “Blissful”, except “Blissful” is more of a rosier pinkish orange compared to “Hipness”, and is a tad bit more vibrant.

More Pro LongWear…another haul!

I loved the pro long wears so much that I bought 2 more from the permanent line: “Fully Charged” (a soft baby pink), and “Jazz-y-Jazz” (a mauve/taupe color). I love them! I also got “Nymphette” lipglass and MAC Blush refill in “Springsheen”.

MAC Electro Flash & Sonic Chic Review and Haul

I am pooped. It’s been a really long day…and it’s now 1:15am as I write this and I have to wake up in like 4 hours to go to work and do it all over again. *sigh*

BUT I wanted to post about the newest MAC Collections that came out today: Electro Flash, Sonic Chic, and New View.

Anne and I went to the Topanga Mall after work today to peep out the newest collections, our BFF was there again (lol), and everyone in the store thought we were crazy with all the swatches that were accumulating on our arms. Waffa (sp?) was the MUA that helped us, she was SOOOO incredibly sweet, genuine, and helpful. She helped us pick out colors that would best match us, didn’t try to sell us anything, she was very honest and would tell us if a color looked similar to something from the permanent line. She waited as we swatched endlessly and took pics (she didn’t even mind that we took pics!), and was just such a pleasure. If any of you live around here, I HIGHLY recommend you ask for her if you do visit that MAC store, she is the best!

I didn’t swatch anything from the New View collection as they are all merely MSF’s and was just so enamored by the Mineralized Eye Shadows (MES) and the Sonic Chic Blushes. First of all, the color payoff on these MES’s compared to those that were released last year in the Antiquitease collection, is A LOT better in my opinion. They aren’t as shimmery as the Antiquitease ones OR the ones released with the Flashtronic Collection (i.e. “Tectonic”). The Electro Flash eyeshadows are very pigmented, EVERY SINGLE one of them; they have shimmer in them, but it’s wearable, not over the top shimmer at all, but just gorgeous colors all around. I ended up buying: Sea & Sky, Fresh Green Mix, and Odd Couple. They are ALL really beautiful, but I wanted to get the ones that fit more with my personality, and since I love colors, I walked away with those 3.

The Sonic Chic Blushes are really pretty, they are pigmented but sheer at the same time in the sense that you can guarantee you won’t be applying too much color on your cheeks. They all have a bit of subtle shimmer in them. I ended up with “Warm Soul” and “Nuance” simply because I couldn’t decide between the two. LAME I know, but I really couldn’t see which one is better. Although they BOTH LOOK SIMILAR, they aren’t. “Nuance” is more of a peachy orange with gold shimmer, and “Warm Soul” is a bit darker and more taupe and brown with pink shimmer. So I bought both to see which one I like most since I can always return one….before I walked in I thought I would get “Pleasantry”, but I already have a lot of pink blushes, it was time to switch it up.

I missed out on getting the “Girl Friendly” paint pot from the Fafi Collection (as my store didn’t get the shipment in time for the Event and ended up getting it later), so I was lucky to get one at my store today as they had it!!! BTW, “GIRL FRIENDLY” PAINT POT IS OFFICIALLY PART OF THE PERMANENT LINE!!!” (as the MUA mentioned to us), so if you are like me and missed out the first time, have no fear as they are here to stay! Topanga also has “Electro Sky” left from the Alexander McQueen Collection, too bad they didn’t have “Other Worldly”…another PP I missed. :(

Without further ado, here are pics and swatches! So what are y’all getting? Or if you already DID get yours, what did you get???

I also included “Tectonic” and “Silversmith” which concludes my MES collection!
